The following terms and conditions apply to participation in Rugvista AB’s (‘Rugvista’) design competition. Rugvista AB is responsible for the competition. By accepting these competition terms and conditions, you consent to the processing of personal data in accordance with section 13 below. Please note that for competition participants under the age of 18, the consent of the guardian to the competition terms and to the processing of personal data is required.
1. Submitted design entries must not infringe any intellectual property rights or have been used in production.
2. Plagiarism will be disqualified immediately.
3. Only design entries uploaded via the Rugvista website will be accepted. Submissions by letter or email will not be accepted. Rugvista does not take responsibility for any technical difficulties or problems that may affect the submission of entries.
4. All participants must fill in the information below:
a. For participants over 18 years old – Portrait photo (the photo should clearly depict the participant’s face). For participants under 18 years old, we recommend that you do not upload a photo or that you upload an avatar.
b. The inspiration behind or description of your design (in English, maximum 300 characters).
c. A clear and concise description of you as an artist (in English, maximum 300 characters).
5. If the above information fields are not completed by the deadline, the entry will be disqualified.
6. The winners will be selected by a jury appointed by Rugvista. The jury’s decision cannot be appealed.
7. All prizes are personal and cannot be transferred to another person.
8. All cash prizes are paid in Swedish kronor (SEK).
9. Any customs costs associated with shipping the rug will be paid by the winner.
10. Winners are responsible and liable for any applicable taxes including winnings tax arising from the competition.
11. The winners will be informed personally by phone, letter or e-mail. If the winner is under 18 years of age, their legal guardian will be contacted. The winners will also be published on the internet with their first and last name, town and country. If we are unable to contact you, we reserve the right to choose another winner.
12. By submitting a design entry to the competition, you transfer copyright in the entry to Rugvista. This means, among other things, that all your rights to the contribution cease and that Rugvista may use the contribution, without limitation in time, in any way (including the right to reproduce, modify and distribute your competition contribution) within Rugvista’s business and in accordance with Swedish law and good practice.
13. The information you provide about yourself in connection with the submission of design entries to the competition will be processed in order to administer the competition. The information is necessary for participation in the competition and if the information is not provided, you will not be able to participate in the competition. In connection with the publication of the winner of the competition, personal data such as name, surname, city and country will be published on the Internet. Rugvista is the data controller for the processing of the personal data you provide to us. Your personal data will be used for Rugista’s information and marketing purposes. You can at any time by contacting us at info@rugvista.com and request that personal data be corrected or removed.
