How to choose a Patchwork rug for your home

Choosing the right Patchwork rug depends on the feeling and style you want to create. Vintage patchwork rugs add warmth, texture, and visual interest, making them ideal for a wide range of interiors.

• Consider the room’s colour palette: Patchwork rugs are available in both bold, multicoloured designs and softer tones. Choose a bold piece to create a focal point, or select softer shades to complement existing décor.
• Pay attention to size and placement: A large Patchwork rug can anchor a seating area, while smaller rugs work well in bedrooms, hallways, or under a coffee table. Make sure the rug enhances the space without overwhelming it.
• Think about how the room is used: High-traffic areas benefit from durable construction and tightly stitched pieces, while low-traffic rooms allow for lighter tones and more delicate designs.

Patchwork rugs for every room

Patchwork rugs can work in almost any room of the home. Choosing the right size, colour, and shape helps ensure a balanced and practical result.

Living room

• Use a larger Patchwork rug to define seating areas.
• Choose balanced colours that complement sofas and furniture.
• Durable materials work best for high-traffic living areas and everyday use.

Bedroom

• Soft-toned Patchwork rugs add warmth and comfort underfoot.
• Position the rug partially under the bed for a symmetrical look.
• A large Patchwork rug, such as 200×300 cm, works well under a double or king-size bed.

Dining room

• Select a tightly stitched or flatwoven Patchwork rug for stability and easy maintenance.
• Make sure the rug is large enough for chairs to remain on it when pulled out.
• Patterned designs help hide minor spills and wear.

Hallway

• Narrow Patchwork runners add visual interest without overwhelming the space.
• Durable construction is key for frequent foot traffic.
• Darker tones or mixed patterns help disguise everyday wear.
