Shop 80 x 250 cm runner rugs online

80 x 250 cm runner rugs are built for the spots a standard-shaped rug won’t fit. Run it the length of a hallway, lay it beside a bed, or fit it along a narrow kitchen in front of the units and cupboards. An 80 x 250 rug also sits well under a table, or down one side of a table where a full-size rug would be overkill.

About our 80 x 250 cm runner rugs

At Rugvista, our range of 80 x 250 cm rugs contains a variety of wool and cotton options with a low, even pile that sit flush to the floor and are easy to keep clean – a practical choice for a hallway or in front of a kitchen counter. 80 x 250 jute runners add natural texture and suit lower-traffic spots. For something more substantial, hand-knotted one-of-a-kind runners in 80 x 250 cm are made to last, and bring the look of a traditional rug to a narrow space. Patterned, machine-made designs in checks and stripes sit in between, giving you colour at a lower price without sacrificing durability.

Frequently asked questions

It’s a long, narrow rug – 80cm wide and 250cm long – best described as a runner. By length it falls into our large rugs size band (230–349cm), but it’s narrow width makes it ideal for hallways, kitchens and the side of a bed rather than open floor space.

As a rule of thumb, leave 10–15cm of bare floor on each side of the rug so it doesn’t touch the skirting boards. If your hallway is narrower than about 110cm, a smaller runner might sit more comfortably.

This size is commonly styled in hallways, kitchens, bedrooms, dining rooms and living rooms — think an 80 x 250 runner along the hallway between the front door and the stairs, laid in front of the sink and worktop in a galley kitchen, or place in the space beside a bed.

Yes – laid lengthways along the side of a double or king bed, it gives you a soft landing when you step out, with enough length left over to run past the foot of the bed too.
