Crafted from high-quality Wool, this rug provides a soft, warm, and inviting surface underfoot. Its construction creates a dense pile that is both comfortable for daily living and highly effective at absorbing sound, helping to create a calmer, more peaceful atmosphere in your favourite room.

The rich, deep tones and intricate patterns of this rug are hallmarks of its Middle Eastern origin. The depth of the Wool pile offers a tactile experience that changes slightly with the light, adding layers of visual warmth to your interior decor.

Designed to stand the test of time, this rug combines beauty with resilience. Its sturdy construction ensures it remains a central, welcoming feature in your home for many years, aging gracefully while maintaining its vibrant character.

The Asadabad rug originates from the Hamadan region of the Middle East, a historic area renowned for its long-standing tradition of weaving. These rugs are deeply rooted in the local culture, where weaving is often a family-based craft passed down through generations, reflecting the specific regional styles and aesthetic values of the local villages.

Hamadan rugs are known for their sturdy construction and the use of high-quality materials. The term refers to a wide collection of village rugs that share a common provenance, characterised by their resilience and the use of traditional hand-knotting techniques. These methods ensure that each rug is not just a decorative object, but a functional piece designed for everyday use.

Visually, these rugs often feature bold, geometric motifs and central medallions, as seen in this piece. The design language typically includes repeating patterns and intricate borders, which provide a sense of structure and balance. The use of deep, saturated colours like the dark red and blue seen here is a classic signature of the region's style.

Owning a rug from this tradition is an opportunity to connect with a rich history of artistry. These rugs are highly valued by collectors and enthusiasts alike for their authenticity and the human story behind every knot. They represent a commitment to preserving traditional craft skills while providing a lasting, beautiful foundation for the modern home.

This rug is meticulously hand-knotted, a process that requires immense skill and dedication. Each individual knot is tied by hand, reflecting a tradition of craft that transforms raw materials into a durable and highly detailed floor covering.

With a weight of 4.9 kg for its size, this rug demonstrates a high density of materials, which directly contributes to its longevity and substantial feel. The investment of time and human effort required to complete such a piece ensures that the final result is a robust, well-constructed item built to endure.
