Crafted in Pakistan, this rug reflects a long-standing tradition of excellence. The Wool pile is naturally resilient and easy to maintain, making it a practical choice for high-traffic areas of the home where you want both beauty and longevity.

Owning this rug means welcoming a piece of history into your home. Its classic design and robust construction ensure it will remain a cherished part of your interior for years to come, providing a consistent sense of quality and comfort every single day.

Bokhara rugs are celebrated for their deep roots in the ancient trade routes of Central Asia. While the name originates from the historic city of Bukhara, today's finest examples are predominantly woven in Pakistan, where artisans have elevated this traditional style to new heights of quality and aesthetic refinement.

The '2ply' designation is a mark of superior construction. By using two strands of Wool twisted together to form the pile, the rug gains a significant boost in durability and lustre. This technique creates a denser, more resilient surface that resists crushing and maintains its rich appearance over many years of use.

Visually, these rugs are defined by their iconic repeating motifs, such as the elegant geometric shapes seen here. These patterns are enclosed by a formal, detailed border that frames the central field, showcasing the technical mastery required to maintain symmetry across such a large surface area.

Collecting a hand-knotted rug of this calibre is an investment in human skill and cultural heritage. Each piece represents a connection to the generations of weavers who have perfected these techniques, offering the owner not just a functional floor covering, but a lasting piece of artistic tradition.

This rug is meticulously hand-knotted by skilled artisans who dedicate months of focused effort to each piece. With a density of 250,000 knots per m2, the process requires immense precision and patience to ensure the pattern remains sharp and the pile stays incredibly uniform.

The total count of over 1.6 million individual knots across this 260 x 252 cm surface is a testament to the labour-intensive nature of this craft. This high level of density not only defines the clarity of the intricate geometric motifs but also guarantees a sturdy, long-lasting construction that can withstand daily use.

Weighing 16.4 kg, this rug demonstrates the substantial amount of high-quality Wool used in its creation. This weight is a direct indicator of the density and the quality of the foundation, ensuring that the rug stays firmly in place while providing a luxurious, thick feel that is the hallmark of genuine hand-knotted craftsmanship.
