Design

The visual composition features a gentle play of subtle tonal shifts across a light grey field. Fine horizontal textures create a quiet rhythm across the surface, giving the design a clean and understated look that blends easily into various room settings.

The soft colour palette feels bright and airy, making it a versatile choice for contemporary spaces. It adds a sense of calm and quiet elegance to rooms without drawing too much attention away from your existing furniture.

This rug is carefully crafted using a handloom technique, a traditional method where artisans guide the yarn by hand across a vertical loom to build the structure. This hands-on approach requires steady rhythm and skilled coordination to achieve an even texture across the entire surface.

Creating a piece of this scale takes dedicated time and patience, with artisans spending days or even weeks working on the loom from start to finish. The human effort invested in every stage ensures a level of care and personal touch that mass-produced alternatives simply cannot replicate.

Maintenance

To prevent shading and uneven wear, frequently rotate your rug.
Use a conventional hoover instead of a robotic cleaner to prevent any damage to the rug.
If you discover a loose thread on your rug, use scissors to gently cut it off. Avoid pulling the thread to prevent damage.
Shedding is a natural characteristic of wool and table-tufted cotton, and with this rug you can expect some loose fibres throughout its lifetime. It doesn't affect the rug's quality, durability or look. Hoover regularly with gentle suction and without a rotating brush, and brush the surface lightly now and then to lift loose fibres.
Shake the rug outdoors to remove any excess dirt or debris.

Installation

As you unpack your new rug, you may notice a slight smell, which is due to the rug being tightly packed during transport. This is normal and will go away after a few days.
Make sure your floor is completely dry before placing the rug.
The rug is sensitive to moisture, which can cause the fibers to shrink or discolor (e.g., turn yellow). To prevent this, avoid placing the rug in areas prone to humidity or spills.
