Fragments - The Art of Organic Form

Bring a sense of calm and natural harmony to your home with this hand-tufted rug, featuring a beautifully balanced abstract design in soft, earthy tones.
Designed to bring both comfort and quiet beauty to your living space, this pile rug offers a soft and inviting surface underfoot. Its dense construction provides excellent sound absorption and a cosy layer of warmth, making it a perfect addition to busy family rooms or quiet bedrooms where comfort is key.
This versatile piece is fully compatible with underfloor heating, ensuring your floors remain warm and welcoming throughout the colder seasons. The sturdy construction ensures it sits beautifully in place, offering a reliable foundation for your daily life.
As part of our premium selection, this rug represents a commitment to exceptional craftsmanship and responsible production. It is certified under OEKO-TEX to ensure it is free from harmful substances, and our partnership with Care & Fair supports better living and working conditions for the weaving communities.
Handcrafted in India, a region renowned for its rich textile heritage, each piece carries the unique character of artisan dedication. This rug is not just a floor covering, but a carefully considered addition to your home that combines traditional expertise with contemporary design.

Design

The design features an organic arrangement of abstract shapes that mimic the natural beauty of stone fragments or weathered bark. These irregular motifs are scattered across a soft green background, creating a balanced yet dynamic visual composition that draws the eye without overwhelming the room.
A soothing palette of mossy green, warm ochre, and deep charcoal tones works harmoniously to evoke a calm, nature-inspired atmosphere. This versatile colourway makes the rug an ideal complement to modern or scandinavian interiors, adding a grounded, organic feel to your decor.
This rug is crafted using the traditional hand-tufting technique, where skilled artisans use a specialised tool to insert yarn loops into a stretched canvas backing. This method allows for incredible precision in creating varied pile heights and detailed patterns, resulting in a rich, tactile surface.
Creating a hand-tufted piece of this scale requires immense patience and expertise, often taking several weeks of dedicated work by experienced craftspeople. Every movement is guided by years of training, ensuring that each rug receives individual attention and care.
The process concludes with a careful shearing and finishing process, which defines the clean lines of the design and secures the pile. This hands-on approach ensures a durable, high-quality finish that carries the warmth and character of human touch into your home.

60% Wool

Wool is a fantastic natural fibre with many benefits, it is durable and hard-wearing, which means that a rug made from wool can be used for several generations and maintain its quality. They are an excellent choice for keeping your rooms warm during the cold winter months and can reduce noise from everyday life. The material also has a natural dirt-repellent effect which makes wool rugs easy to keep clean. Wool has a natural elasticity, which means that when the pile is pressed down, it can easily bounce back to its original shape.

20% Viscose

Viscose is a synthetic fibre made from cellulose, which is a natural material found in plants. The material is often used to give a shine to rugs and to highlight details in a way that is found in silk rugs. Viscose rugs have a soft and beautiful shine that gives a luxurious feeling. The material is sensitive to liquids, which means that moisture can cause stains, shrink or make the fibres yellow. Therefore it is best if you avoid placing place your viscose rug in areas prone to humidity or risk of spills.

20% Cotton

Cotton is a natural material that makes them a suitable option for people with allergies. The material is soft, durable and resilient, which makes them practical and comfortable for high-traffic areas such as the hallway, kitchen, and bathroom.

Care & Fair

We are proud to be part of the organization CARE & FAIR. Their mission is to improve the living conditions of carpet weavers in India and their families through education and health

Care & Fair

Maintenance

  • To prevent shading and uneven wear, frequently rotate your rug.
  • Use a conventional hoover instead of a robotic cleaner to prevent any damage to the rug.
  • If you discover a loose thread on your rug, use scissors to gently cut it off. Avoid pulling the thread to prevent damage.
  • Rug suitable for use with underfloor heating (max. 27°C).
  • You may notice some shedding on your rug - this is completely normal and a sign of its high-quality natural fibres. The shedding will gradually lessen over time and does not affect the rug’s quality or lifespan. Regular hoovering with gentle suction and occasional brushing will help manage loose fibres and keep your rug looking beautiful for years to come.

Installation

  • Fold marks may occur during transport. This is not a manufacturing defect and is easy to remedy. Simply turn your rug over, roll it tightly, and leave it for a few hours. Finally, lay out your rug and wait a few days until your rug lays flat against the floor.
  • For added safety, stability and floor protection, we recommend using an anti-slip pad underneath the rug (sold separately).
  • As you unpack your new rug, you may notice a slight smell, which is due to the rug being tightly packed during transport. This is normal and will go away after a few days.
  • Make sure your floor is completely dry before placing the rug.
  • The rug is sensitive to moisture, which can cause the fibers to shrink or discolor (e.g., turn yellow). To prevent this, avoid placing the rug in areas prone to humidity or spills.
  • Please be aware that trapped dirt, dust, or dampness under a rug may cause marks or scratches on sensitive floors.

Cleaning instructions

Do this
  • We recommend that you use Rugvista Stain Remover only on the wool parts of the rug, not on the viscose parts.
  • Spot clean only.
  • Address spills promptly to minimize staining. Blot the affected area gently with a dry, undyed cloth—never rub, as this may embed the stain further into the fibers.
  • For hard-to-remove stains, we recommend you contact a professional rug cleaner.
Avoid this
  • Do not wash
  • Do not bleach.
  • Do not tumble dry.
  • Do not iron.
  • Do not dry clean.
