Maintenance

To prevent shading and uneven wear, frequently rotate your rug.
Use a conventional hoover instead of a robotic cleaner to prevent any damage to the rug.
For best results and a longer-lasting rug, we recommend shaking the rug instead of hoovering. If needed, hoover carefully using gentle suction to avoid stressing the pile.
If you discover a loose thread on your rug, use scissors to gently cut it off. Avoid pulling the thread to prevent damage.
To maintain the quality of your rug, avoid leaving it damp for a long time without ensuring that it dries completely. This will help protect both the rug and the surface beneath.
Avoid hoovering directly over the fringes, as the suction and brushes can catch the threads and cause damage.
You may notice some shedding on your rug - this is completely normal and a sign of its high-quality natural fibres. The shedding will gradually lessen over time and does not affect the rug’s quality or lifespan. Regular hoovering with gentle suction and occasional brushing will help manage loose fibres and keep your rug looking beautiful for years to come.
Shake the rug outdoors to remove any excess dirt or debris.

Installation

For added safety, stability and floor protection, we recommend using an anti-slip pad underneath the rug (sold separately).
Fold marks may occur during transport. This is not a manufacturing defect and is easy to remedy. Simply turn your rug over, roll it tightly, and leave it for a few hours. Finally, lay out your rug and wait a few days until your rug lays flat against the floor.
As you unpack your new rug, you may notice a slight smell, which is due to the rug being tightly packed during transport. This is normal and will go away after a few days.
Make sure your floor is completely dry before placing the rug.
Please be aware that trapped dirt, dust, or dampness under a rug may cause marks or scratches on sensitive floors.

Washing instructions

Do this

Machine wash up to 30°C.
Wash separately.
Use gentle cycle.
Tumble dry on low setting
Line dry with good air circulation all around.
Reshape the rug while damp.
Make sure the rug is completely dry before placing it back on the floor.
Address spills promptly to minimize staining. Blot the affected area gently with a damp, undyed cloth—never rub, as this may embed the stain further into the fibers. Protect the floor beneath the rug by ensuring it's properly covered during the cleaning process.
We recommend that you use Rugvista Stain Remover for this type of rug.
For hard-to-remove stains, we recommend you contact a professional rug cleaner.

Good to know

Note that some fibres may be shed during washing.
The rug may shrink up to 5%.

Washing machine drum capacity: If the rug is too large for the machine, we recommend washing it by hand or using a professional rug cleaning service.

Washing machine filter: Ensure that your machine's filter is emptied before washing the rug to prevent clogging. Additionally, check the filter after washing to maintain the machine in optimal condition.
