This stunning, one-of-a-kind Kashmir rug is a masterclass in silk craftsmanship, featuring intricate floral patterns on a rich, vibrant field that brings warmth and sophistication to any interior.

Experience the gentle, cooling touch of high-quality silk underfoot with this exceptional piece. Known for its natural sheen and refined texture, the silk pile creates a surface that catches the light beautifully, adding a sense of depth and luxury to your living space.

This rug is a truly one-of-a-kind creation, ensuring that the specific combination of colours and patterns you see here exists nowhere else in the world. By choosing this piece, you are bringing home a unique work of art that can never be replicated, making it a special focal point for your home.

The dense and smooth pile offers a comfortable, luxurious feel that is perfect for quiet areas of your home. Beyond its visual appeal, the fine construction provides a tactile experience that feels both substantial and delicate, enhancing the comfort of your favourite room.

Originating from the renowned weaving traditions of India, this rug showcases a level of artistry that has been refined over centuries. Its presence in your home is a testament to sophisticated taste and a love for pieces that carry a sense of history and dedicated skill.

The art of silk weaving in the Kashmir region is a storied tradition that blends influences from Central Asia and the Middle East. Over centuries, this craft has evolved into a distinct style, characterised by its reliance on fine, high-quality materials and a sophisticated aesthetic that has long been prized by connoisseurs.

The production of these rugs relies on a complex, manual knotting technique that allows for the creation of incredibly detailed designs. This level of craftsmanship is what defines the quality of the finished piece, ensuring that the final result is both visually stunning and physically resilient.

Visually, these rugs are defined by their intricate floral motifs, often inspired by the natural beauty of the Himalayan valleys. The patterns are typically symmetrical, featuring a central medallion surrounded by flowing vines and blossoms, all set against a vibrant, saturated field that serves to highlight the fine details of the work.

Owning a Kashmir silk rug is more than just a decor choice; it is an investment in a living heritage. These pieces are valued for their cultural significance and the extraordinary skill required to produce them, serving as a bridge between ancient artistic traditions and the modern home.

This rug is meticulously hand-knotted, a process that requires immense patience and precision. With a density of 490,000 knots per m2, the artisan has placed every single knot by hand to ensure the intricate floral patterns are captured with absolute clarity and sharpness.

Given the substantial 4.6 kg weight of this 154 x 100 cm piece, the construction is exceptionally dense and durable. This high material investment and the time-intensive knotting process result in a final product that is not only beautiful but also built to maintain its structural integrity for years to come.

Cotton

Cotton is a natural material that makes them a suitable option for people with allergies. The material is soft, durable and resilient, which makes them practical and comfortable for high-traffic areas such as the hallway, kitchen, and bathroom.

Silk

Silk is an exclusive natural fibre that provides a soft and shiny feeling to rugs. The material can also be used to enhance details in wool rugs and in some, silk can make up the entire pile and sometimes even the warp. Elegant rugs with rich details can only be made with silk because other fibres are too thick for this purpose. Silk is a durable and hard-wearing fibre that lasts a long time and becomes more beautiful over time. Due to its sensitivity to liquids, it is advisable to refrain from positioning the rug in areas where there is a high likelihood of moisture or potential spills.
