Pakistan Bohkara 3Ply carpets are recognized by their fine wool which gives the carpet a beautiful luster and makes it durable. The most common patterns are a clear border that encloses a number of geometric motifs. The colors of the carpets are warm and are mostly red, blue, beige and sometimes black. The designation 3 ply means that the carpet is knotted with three threads in each knot. Today, these carpets are considered to be among the finest manufactured in Pakistan and are hand knotted in a number of studios in the Kashmir area that stretches between Pakistan and India.
