Discover this one-of-a-kind Patchwork runner from Turkey, featuring vintage charm and a rich blend of traditional patterns.

This one-of-a-kind Patchwork runner brings authentic character and warmth to narrow spaces like hallways and entryways. Crafted from wool, the soft pile offers a pleasant feel underfoot while standing up well to daily use.

Measuring 251 x 75 cm, the runner features an 8 mm pile that sits comfortably under low doors and furniture. The combination of muted floral and geometric motifs across the stitched panels creates a balanced visual texture.

Dating back 20 to 50 years, this vintage piece carries a sense of history that mass-produced items cannot replicate. Owning this runner means placing a true piece of textile art in your home that exists nowhere else.

Originating from Turkey, the piece reflects classic regional craft techniques. Its durable wool construction ensures it remains a comforting and practical addition to your home for many years to come.

Patchwork rugs originated as a creative way to preserve historic hand-knotted textiles from across Turkey. Rather than letting worn or damaged vintage rugs fade away, craftspeople reclaim the intact sections to assemble entirely new compositions.

The term patchwork in hand-knotted textiles refers to the art of stitching together varied fragments of older rugs. Each section brings its own history, weave tension, and pattern language, which are carefully balanced by artisans to create a unified runner.

Visual interest in a Turkish Patchwork rug comes from the contrasting fragments of geometric and floral motifs. Faded tones and worn textures reveal the age of the original textiles, showing how vegetable dyes and hand-spun wool mellow over decades.

Owning a vintage Patchwork piece means preserving a fragment of Turkish weaving heritage. Collectors value these rugs for their unique balance of historical craft and contemporary design appeal.

This runner is assembled from hand-knotted antique and vintage rug fragments carefully selected for their character and quality. Skilled artisans clean, dye, and hand-stitch these pieces together to give historical textiles a second life.

Weighing 6.6 kg, the piece reflects a dense, substantial build. The considerable amount of wool used and the physical effort required to stitch each panel by hand ensure long-term stability and strength.

The process requires hours of focused handwork to align the distinct pattern fragments into a cohesive layout, resulting in a durable floor covering made with care.
