Patchwork - A Unique Round Centrepiece for Your Home

Bring a sense of calm and history into your living space with this truly one-of-a-kind round patchwork rug, crafted from carefully selected pieces to create a harmonious and tactile focal point.
This round patchwork rug offers a soft and inviting texture, crafted from premium Wool that brings warmth and comfort to any room in your home. Its circular silhouette provides a gentle contrast to the straight lines of furniture, helping to soften the feel of your interior while creating a natural gathering point.
Because each rug is a one-of-a-kind creation, the specific arrangement of vintage-inspired patterns ensures that your piece is entirely unique. No two rugs are identical, meaning you are bringing a singular work of art into your home that will never be replicated elsewhere.
The Wool pile is naturally durable and provides excellent sound absorption, making it a functional choice for high-traffic areas or quiet corners alike. The blend of soft, neutral tones allows it to integrate seamlessly with various decor styles, providing a subtle yet sophisticated foundation for your furniture.
Owning this rug means embracing a piece with genuine character and history. Its thoughtful construction ensures it feels comfortable underfoot, offering a grounding presence that enhances the overall atmosphere of your living space for years to come.
The art of the patchwork rug is a modern evolution of long-standing textile traditions found across the Middle East. By taking fragments of older, hand-knotted rugs and repurposing them, artisans honour the history of the original pieces while creating something entirely new and relevant for contemporary homes.
This practice relies on the deep knowledge of traditional knotting techniques. Each fragment used in the patchwork is selected for its quality and pattern, often coming from rugs that have been carefully salvaged. This approach ensures that the depth and character of the original craftsmanship are preserved, giving the rug a sense of provenance that mass-produced items cannot match.
The design language of this piece draws on classic Middle Eastern motifs, featuring intricate floral and organic patterns that have been softened by time. The subtle, neutral colour palette highlights these elegant details, allowing the beauty of the traditional weaves to shine through in a way that feels fresh and understated.
Collecting a patchwork rug is an investment in both heritage and sustainability. It represents a bridge between the past and the present, offering you the chance to own a piece that celebrates the beauty of hand-knotted textiles. Each rug serves as a reminder of the enduring skill and cultural legacy that defines this rich tradition.
This rug is meticulously hand-knotted by skilled artisans who assemble each individual panel to create a cohesive whole. This traditional method requires significant patience and precision, as each section must be perfectly aligned to maintain the structural integrity and aesthetic balance of the final circular shape.
With a weight of 13.6 kg spread across its 197 cm diameter, this rug demonstrates a dense and high-quality construction that speaks to the extensive labour involved. This weight signifies a generous use of quality materials, ensuring a sturdy, long-lasting product that retains its form and beauty over time.
The complexity of hand-assembling these panels means that this rug represents weeks of dedicated work. The result is a durable, well-crafted piece that stands as a testament to the artisan's skill and the time-honoured tradition of creating long-lasting floor coverings.

Wool

Wool is a fantastic natural fibre with many benefits, it is durable and hard-wearing, which means that a rug made from wool can be used for several generations and maintain its quality. They are an excellent choice for keeping your rooms warm during the cold winter months and can reduce noise from everyday life. The material also has a natural dirt-repellent effect which makes wool rugs easy to keep clean. Wool has a natural elasticity, which means that when the pile is pressed down, it can easily bounce back to its original shape.

Cotton

Cotton is a natural material that makes them a suitable option for people with allergies. The material is soft, durable and resilient, which makes them practical and comfortable for high-traffic areas such as the hallway, kitchen, and bathroom.
