Design

The Ravi rug features a clean, single-coloured aesthetic that highlights the natural beauty of its woven texture. The neutral grey tone provides a versatile foundation that effortlessly complements a wide range of interior palettes.

Framed by a soft, decorative fringe, the design maintains a balanced and grounded look. Its minimalist appearance ensures it remains a subtle yet stylish element in your room, focusing on the quality of the weave rather than complex patterns.

This piece is created through a traditional handloom process, where skilled artisans carefully weave each thread to build a resilient and beautiful textile. This method requires significant time and focus, as every pass of the loom is managed by hand to ensure a consistent and high-quality finish.

The process of hand-weaving allows for a unique character in every rug that machine-made alternatives simply cannot replicate. By dedicating hours of human effort to the creation of this rug, the artisans ensure that the final result is both sturdy and visually balanced.

Each rug is produced with a deep respect for local weaving traditions in India. The deliberate pace of this craft ensures that the final product is not only a functional item for your home but a testament to the skill and patience of the individuals who made it.

Maintenance

To prevent shading and uneven wear, frequently rotate your rug.
Use a conventional hoover instead of a robotic cleaner to prevent any damage to the rug.
If you discover a loose thread on your rug, use scissors to gently cut it off. Avoid pulling the thread to prevent damage.
You may notice some shedding on your rug - this is completely normal and a sign of its high-quality natural fibres. The shedding will gradually lessen over time and does not affect the rug’s quality or lifespan. Regular hoovering with gentle suction and occasional brushing will help manage loose fibres and keep your rug looking beautiful for years to come.
Shake the rug outdoors to remove any excess dirt or debris.

Installation

Fold marks may occur during transport. This is not a manufacturing defect and is easy to remedy. Simply turn your rug over, roll it tightly, and leave it for a few hours. Finally, lay out your rug and wait a few days until your rug lays flat against the floor.
As you unpack your new rug, you may notice a slight smell, which is due to the rug being tightly packed during transport. This is normal and will go away after a few days.

This rug can be dry cleaned.
