This one-of-a-kind Shiraz rug brings timeless tribal character to your home. Expertly hand-knotted, it features rich, traditional motifs and a warm, grounding presence that makes every space feel more inviting and complete.

This unique Shiraz rug offers a deeply tactile experience, bringing warmth and character to any room it inhabits. Crafted from Wool, the pile provides a soft yet resilient surface that feels substantial underfoot while naturally absorbing sound to create a calmer home environment.

The visual depth of this piece is defined by its bold, geometric composition and striking colour palette. Because this is a one-of-a-kind creation, the specific arrangement of its traditional motifs ensures that your floor covering is entirely unique, serving as a focal point that cannot be replicated elsewhere.

Beyond its visual appeal, the rug is built for daily life, offering a blend of comfort and durability that only authentic Wool can provide. Its generous pile height ensures a cushioned feel, making it a perfect addition to living areas or bedrooms where comfort is a priority.

Owning this piece means welcoming a slice of Middle Eastern artistry into your home. Each detail, from the central medallion to the intricate border, has been carefully considered to create a harmonious design that balances heritage with a welcoming, modern aesthetic.

Shiraz rugs originate from the Fars province in the Middle Eastern region, a territory historically inhabited by nomadic tribes such as the Qashqai. These rugs are deeply rooted in the migratory lifestyle of their makers, often reflecting the natural landscape and the cultural stories passed down through generations of tribal weavers.

The term hand-knotted refers to the traditional process where each individual strand of Wool is tied by hand onto the foundation. This laborious technique is the hallmark of genuine quality, creating a robust, long-lasting structure that far exceeds the lifespan and aesthetic depth of machine-made alternatives.

The visual language of a Shiraz rug is typically tribal and geometric, often featuring central medallions and repeating motifs inspired by the surrounding flora and fauna. This particular piece showcases a striking contrast between its deep, resonant red field and darker accents, a classic colour combination that has defined the region's output for centuries.

Collecting these rugs is an investment in cultural heritage. Because they are produced by hand within a tribal tradition rather than in a factory, each piece carries the distinct touch and intent of the weaver. Owning a Shiraz rug is an opportunity to preserve a living craft that values individual expression and endurance over mass production.

This rug is meticulously hand-knotted by skilled artisans who dedicate months of focused effort to bring the design to life. The process begins with the careful preparation of the foundation, ensuring the structure is strong enough to support the dense, soft Wool pile that defines the finished look.

With a density of 90,000 knots per m2, this piece represents a significant investment of time and precision. This level of complexity is what allows for the sharp definition of the tribal motifs and ensures the pile remains dense and upright even with regular use, providing long-term durability.

The substantial weight of 5.7 kg across its dimensions is a testament to the amount of material and labour invested in the rug. This heft confirms the quality of the construction, resulting in a floor covering that stays firmly in place and maintains its structural integrity for years to come.

Wool

Wool is a fantastic natural fibre with many benefits, it is durable and hard-wearing, which means that a rug made from wool can be used for several generations and maintain its quality. They are an excellent choice for keeping your rooms warm during the cold winter months and can reduce noise from everyday life. The material also has a natural dirt-repellent effect which makes wool rugs easy to keep clean. Wool has a natural elasticity, which means that when the pile is pressed down, it can easily bounce back to its original shape.
