Add a burst of colour to your home with this striking, one-of-a-kind Shiraz rug, featuring a bold diagonal pattern and rich, authentic Wool construction.

This one-of-a-kind Shiraz rug brings an immediate sense of warmth and character to any space. Its thick, comfortable pile provides a soft and inviting surface underfoot, while its robust construction ensures it stands up beautifully to daily life in your home.

The rug is crafted from high-quality Wool, which is naturally durable and soft to the touch. This material choice offers excellent insulation, helping to keep your floors comfortable while also providing natural sound-dampening qualities that make your rooms feel quieter and more relaxed.

Featuring a vibrant, diagonal pattern, this piece serves as a striking visual centrepiece for your interior. Because every Shiraz rug is a unique creation, you can be certain that the specific combination of colours and the precise arrangement of its design elements exist nowhere else in the world.

Owning this rug means welcoming a genuine piece of Middle Eastern textile art into your home. Its distinct personality and long-lasting quality make it a considered addition to any living area, bringing a sense of history and authentic craft to your floors.

The Shiraz rug tradition is deeply rooted in the nomadic and semi-nomadic cultures of the Middle East. These rugs take their name from the historic city of Shiraz, which has long served as a major trading hub for the surrounding tribes who weave these distinctive pieces in their own homes and tents.

Traditionally, these rugs are known for their use of high-quality Wool and their vibrant, often bold colour palettes. The weaving process is a long-standing cultural practice passed down through generations, with each tribe maintaining its own unique approach to patterns, colour choices, and finishing details.

The visual language of a Shiraz rug typically includes geometric motifs and tribal symbols, often arranged in repeating patterns or central medallions. This particular piece stands out for its bold, diagonal striped design, which showcases a more modern and rhythmic interpretation of the traditional tribal aesthetic.

Collecting these rugs is an appreciation of the human story behind the craft. Because they are not mass-produced, each rug acts as a record of the weaver's skill and the cultural heritage of their region, making them highly valued by those who seek authentic, lasting pieces for their homes.

This rug is meticulously hand-knotted by skilled artisans who dedicate significant time to every single strand. With a density of 90,000 knots per m2, the creation of this piece requires immense patience and precision, ensuring that the final result is both structurally sound and visually sharp.

The weight of 8.3 kg across its 190 x 87 cm frame speaks to the substantial amount of Wool used in its foundation. This material density is a direct indicator of the time-intensive labour involved, resulting in a rug that is not only heavy and durable but also deeply rooted in traditional weaving practices.

Wolle
