Sorbet Stripe - A Splash of Warmth for Your Floor

Bring cosy comfort and a vibrant palette to your home with the Sorbet Stripe rug, crafted from 100% cotton for a soft touch underfoot.

Introduce a warm and inviting atmosphere to your living space with the Sorbet Stripe rug.

Designed to feel comfortable beneath your feet, this piece adds a tactile layer of softness and gentle sound absorption to hard floors in bedrooms and living rooms alike.

Crafted entirely from natural cotton, the rug provides a breathable and gentle surface that works well for everyday family life.

The natural fibres offer a reassuringly solid feel while remaining light enough to handle easily.

For practical everyday living, this rug is fully compatible with underfloor heating systems, allowing warmth to pass through naturally so your room stays cosy throughout colder months.

It is also reversible, meaning you can flip it over to share the wear evenly and help it last longer.

Made with care in India, this piece reflects traditional craft methods and is certified by Care & Fair, supporting ethical working conditions and education for weavers and their families.

Design

The design features a repeating pattern of horizontal stripes in varied widths, creating a rhythmic and balanced visual composition.

Soft bands of colour flow across the surface, giving the rug a lively yet grounded appearance that suits relaxed living spaces.

A harmonious palette of muted tones works together to create a calm and welcoming mood.

This versatile style pairs naturally with wooden floors and simple furnishings, adding character and warmth to your home without overwhelming the room.

The Sorbet Stripe rug is carefully hand-woven by skilled artisans who spend hours looping and pressing the yarns by hand.

This traditional flat-weave technique requires steady precision to keep the horizontal bands straight and even from edge to edge.

Crafting a rug of this size by hand takes several days of dedicated work, resulting in a durable home textile with unique character.

The careful attention to detail during the weaving process ensures a strong structure that stands up to daily use.

95% Cotton

5% Polyester

Polyester is a popular synthetic fibre used in the textile industry thanks to its durability, lightness, and resistance to stains and moisture. Polyester rugs are typically durable, making them suitable for high-traffic areas. They have a nice sheen that gives a luxurious and soft impression to the room.

Maintenance

To prevent shading and uneven wear, frequently rotate your rug.
Use a conventional hoover instead of a robotic cleaner to prevent any damage to the rug.
If you discover a loose thread on your rug, use scissors to gently cut it off. Avoid pulling the thread to prevent damage.
Avoid hoovering directly over the fringes, as the suction and brushes can catch the threads and cause damage.

Installation

Fold marks may occur during transport. This is not a manufacturing defect and is easy to remedy. Simply turn your rug over, roll it tightly, and leave it for a few hours. Finally, lay out your rug and wait a few days until your rug lays flat against the floor.
As you unpack your new rug, you may notice a slight smell, which is due to the rug being tightly packed during transport. This is normal and will go away after a few days.
We recommend using an anti-slip mat with this rug, as color migration may occur onto light-colored floors.
Please be aware that trapped dirt, dust, or dampness under a rug may cause marks or scratches on sensitive floors.

Care instructions

Do this

Address spills promptly to minimize staining. Blot the affected area gently with a damp, undyed cloth—never rub, as this may embed the stain further into the fibers. Protect the floor beneath the rug by ensuring it's properly covered during the cleaning process.
For hard-to-remove stains, we recommend you contact a professional rug cleaner.
To clean the fringes, use a soft brush to get the debris out.
