Experience the exceptional warmth and tactile pleasure of this authentic Tabriz rug. Its generous pile provides a soft, cushioning feel underfoot, while its dense construction naturally absorbs sound, making it a perfect addition to a quiet, relaxing living space.

The rug is defined by its elegant, symmetrical floral design, which radiates from a central medallion toward a beautifully detailed border. The interplay of soft, muted tones creates a calm and sophisticated aesthetic that complements a variety of interior settings with ease.

As a one-of-a-kind piece originating from the renowned weaving centres of the Middle East, this rug is entirely unique. No two are exactly alike, meaning that by choosing this item, you are bringing a singular work of art into your home that will never be replicated.

The high level of detail in the pattern is a direct result of its superior construction, ensuring the design remains sharp and clear for years to come. This is a durable piece designed to withstand daily life while maintaining its refined appearance and soft texture.

Tabriz rugs originate from one of the oldest rug-weaving centres in the Middle East, located in the historic city of Tabriz. This region has a centuries-old tradition of creating floor coverings that are celebrated worldwide for their artistic ambition and technical excellence.

The designation 60 Raj refers to the traditional system of measuring knot density, where 'Raj' indicates the number of knots per 7 cm. A 60 Raj rug is considered a high-grade piece, offering a fine, intricate resolution that allows for the fluid, curved lines and complex floral patterns characteristic of the finest Tabriz work.

Signature design elements of these rugs often include a central medallion surrounded by dense floral scrolls, foliage, and palmettes. While traditional red and navy palettes are common, this piece showcases a more nuanced use of colour, demonstrating the evolution of Tabriz weavers who frequently experiment with sophisticated, contemporary palettes.

Owning a Tabriz rug is an investment in cultural heritage. These pieces are highly valued by collectors for their blend of historical technique and visual elegance, representing a legacy of craftsmanship that has survived and thrived through generations of dedicated artisans.

This rug is meticulously hand-knotted by skilled artisans, a process that requires immense patience and precision. With a density of 640,000 knots per m2, the creation of this piece represents hundreds of hours of dedicated labour, ensuring a level of detail and durability that mass-produced items simply cannot match.

The 17.9 kg weight of this 201 x 198 cm rug is a testament to the high-quality materials and tight, dense knotting used throughout its construction. This substantial weight ensures the rug lies flat and remains stable, serving as evidence of the time and skill invested in its creation.
