Gabbeh Giza - A Meadow of Calm Beneath Your Feet

Bring a sense of natural harmony to your home with this forest green runner. Adorned with delicate, colourful motifs, it offers a soft and welcoming touch to any hallway or narrow living space.
The Gabbeh Giza runner brings a gentle, organic charm to your interior, grounding your space with its deep forest green tones. Crafted with care by Rugvista Premium, this piece is designed to create a calm and inviting atmosphere in your home.
Woven from high-quality wool, the pile offers a rich, tactile experience that feels soft and warm underfoot. Its natural material composition provides excellent sound absorption, making your home feel that much more peaceful and quiet.
This runner is fully compatible with underfloor heating, allowing you to enjoy the comfort of a warm surface throughout the colder months. Its robust construction ensures it remains a reliable and cosy companion for your daily life, standing up to everyday use with ease.
Coming from skilled artisans in India, this rug reflects a heritage of traditional craftsmanship. It is a considered choice for those who value both style and long-lasting quality in their home textiles.

Design

This runner features a deep, forest green background that serves as a canvas for a scattering of small, colourful motifs. These delicate details, including tiny animals and geometric shapes, add a playful yet understated character to the design.
The overall aesthetic is warm and grounded, drawing inspiration from traditional weaving styles. Its simple, repetitive pattern creates a sense of balance that fits perfectly in a variety of home environments.
This runner is handmade using the loom-knotted technique, a process that requires significant time and focus. Skilled artisans work with dedication to ensure each detail of the pattern is placed with precision, resulting in a product that feels both authentic and substantial.
The creation of this piece involves a slow, careful assembly that highlights the human touch behind the finished product. By choosing a loom-knotted rug, you are supporting traditional techniques that have been refined over generations to produce durable and beautiful home decor.
The scale of effort required for a piece of this size is considerable, with artisans spending many days to complete a single rug. This commitment to the craft ensures a level of quality and character that machine-made alternatives simply cannot replicate.

80% Wool

Wool is a fantastic natural fibre with many benefits, it is durable and hard-wearing, which means that a rug made from wool can be used for several generations and maintain its quality. They are an excellent choice for keeping your rooms warm during the cold winter months and can reduce noise from everyday life. The material also has a natural dirt-repellent effect which makes wool rugs easy to keep clean. Wool has a natural elasticity, which means that when the pile is pressed down, it can easily bounce back to its original shape.

20% Cotton

Cotton is a natural material that makes them a suitable option for people with allergies. The material is soft, durable and resilient, which makes them practical and comfortable for high-traffic areas such as the hallway, kitchen, and bathroom.

Care & Fair

Maintenance

  • To prevent shading and uneven wear, frequently rotate your rug.
  • Use a conventional hoover instead of a robotic cleaner to prevent any damage to the rug.
  • If you discover a loose thread on your rug, use scissors to gently cut it off. Avoid pulling the thread to prevent damage.
  • You may notice some shedding on your rug - this is completely normal and a sign of its high-quality natural fibres. The shedding will gradually lessen over time and does not affect the rug’s quality or lifespan. Regular hoovering with gentle suction and occasional brushing will help manage loose fibres and keep your rug looking beautiful for years to come.
  • Shake the rug outdoors to remove any excess dirt or debris.

Installation

  • For added safety, stability and floor protection, we recommend using an anti-slip pad underneath the rug (sold separately).
  • Fold marks may occur during transport. This is not a manufacturing defect and is easy to remedy. Simply turn your rug over, roll it tightly, and leave it for a few hours. Finally, lay out your rug and wait a few days until your rug lays flat against the floor.
  • As you unpack your new rug, you may notice a slight smell, which is due to the rug being tightly packed during transport. This is normal and will go away after a few days.
  • Make sure your floor is completely dry before placing the rug.
  • Please be aware that trapped dirt, dust, or dampness under a rug may cause marks or scratches on sensitive floors.

Care instructions

Do this
  • Address spills promptly to minimize staining. Blot the affected area gently with a damp, undyed cloth—never rub, as this may embed the stain further into the fibers. Protect the floor beneath the rug by ensuring it's properly covered during the cleaning process.
  • We recommend that you use Rugvista Stain Remover for this type of rug.
  • For hard-to-remove stains, we recommend you contact a professional rug cleaner.
Avoid this
  • Do not wash
  • Do not bleach.
  • Do not tumble dry.
  • Do not iron.
  • Do not dry clean.
