Design

The surface displays a uniform, single-coloured expanse in a warm brown tone with subtle variations in the yarn that add depth and visual interest.

The flat woven construction creates a clean, understated look without any distracting motifs or borders, keeping the focus entirely on the natural texture of the material.

The earthy brown palette brings a calm, grounded mood to interior spaces, pairing naturally with wooden furniture and soft textiles.

It suits rustic and casual living schemes where comfort and simplicity take priority.

This rug is carefully hand woven by skilled artisans in India, a region with a rich heritage in textile craft.

Each piece takes several weeks of dedicated human effort to complete, as artisans painstakingly interlace the natural fibres on traditional looms.

The process requires considerable skill and patience to ensure an even, consistent surface and neat edges.

This hands-on method of creation means every rug carries subtle individual character that machine-made alternatives simply cannot replicate.

Maintenance

To prevent shading and uneven wear, frequently rotate your rug.
Use a conventional hoover instead of a robotic cleaner to prevent any damage to the rug.
If you discover a loose thread on your rug, use scissors to gently cut it off. Avoid pulling the thread to prevent damage.
Shake the rug outdoors to remove any excess dirt or debris.

Installation

Fold marks may occur during transport. This is not a manufacturing defect and is easy to remedy. Simply turn your rug over, roll it tightly, and leave it for a few hours. Finally, lay out your rug and wait a few days until your rug lays flat against the floor.
As you unpack your new rug, you may notice a slight smell, which is due to the rug being tightly packed during transport. This is normal and will go away after a few days.
Make sure your floor is completely dry before placing the rug.
We recommend using an anti-slip mat with this rug, as color migration may occur onto light-colored floors.
Please be aware that trapped dirt, dust, or dampness under a rug may cause marks or scratches on sensitive floors.

Cleaning instructions

Do this

Spot clean only.
Address spills promptly to minimize staining. Blot the affected area gently with a damp, undyed cloth—never rub, as this may embed the stain further into the fibers. Protect the floor beneath the rug by ensuring it's properly covered during the cleaning process.
We recommend that you use Rugvista Stain Remover for this type of rug.
For hard-to-remove stains, we recommend you contact a professional rug cleaner.
