Lilja - Warmth Beneath Your Feet

Bring natural warmth and a calm feel to your home with the handcrafted Lilja rug, featuring a soft tactile surface.

Enjoy the natural warmth and tactile feel this rug brings to your living space. Crafted from jute and cotton, it feels pleasant underfoot while creating a cosy and welcoming atmosphere in any room.

Designed for modern living, this piece is fully compatible with underfloor heating systems so your floors stay comfortable during colder months. It is also reversible, allowing you to turn it over to help wear distribute evenly and extend its useful life.

Made by skilled artisans in India, the weaving process takes considerable time and human effort to achieve its sturdy and even structure. This traditional craftsmanship ensures a reliable piece that stands up to daily family life.

The materials used are entirely natural, offering a sustainable choice for your interior. It carries the Care & Fair certification, ensuring ethical production standards and support for weavers and their families.

The rug displays an ordered pattern of repeating motifs arranged across a textured natural background. Alternating rows feature small flower-like shapes alongside subtle dot accents, creating a calm and balanced visual rhythm that feels grounded and inviting.

The colour palette combines warm beige tones with lighter white highlights for a soft contrast. This understated combination suits rustic and relaxed interiors, adding subtle pattern and organic texture to living rooms or bedrooms.

The Lilja rug is carefully hand-woven by skilled artisans who bring years of traditional expertise to the loom. Each piece requires significant time and precise hand movements to interlace the natural fibres into a sturdy flatweave construction.

Creating a rug of this size by hand involves dedicated human effort from start to finish, reflecting the true value of artisanal craft. This thoughtful production method results in a durable textile with unique character that machine-made alternatives cannot replicate.
