Solveig - A Bright Touch of Sunshine

Bring a sense of warmth to your home with this cheerful, hand-woven rug. Its crisp geometric pattern and soft cotton construction offer a light, comfortable feel that brightens any room.

The Solveig rug adds a welcoming and vibrant energy to your living space. Crafted from cotton, it offers a soft and tactile surface that is comfortable underfoot, making it a perfect choice for creating a cosy atmosphere in bedrooms or living areas.

Designed with versatility in mind, this rug is fully reversible, allowing you to easily switch sides to keep the surface looking fresh and well-maintained over time. Its lightweight construction makes it easy to move or reposition, providing flexibility as your home needs evolve.

This rug is a practical addition to any modern home, as it is fully compatible with underfloor heating. Whether you are placing it in a busy hallway or a quiet reading nook, its durable weave ensures it stands up well to daily use while maintaining its bright and clean aesthetic.

Produced in India, this piece reflects a commitment to traditional craft practices. It is a thoughtful choice for those who appreciate simple, clean design combined with natural materials that feel both honest and comfortable in a family home.

Design

The design features a repeating diamond pattern that creates a sense of order and balance. The clean lines and sharp geometry are softened by the natural texture of the cotton, making it a versatile piece that complements a variety of interior settings.

The bright yellow and white colour palette is intentionally cheerful, designed to reflect light and make smaller spaces feel more open and airy. It is a classic yet contemporary look that adds a pop of personality without overwhelming your existing decor.

Each Solveig rug is carefully hand-woven by skilled artisans in India. This traditional technique involves interlacing cotton threads on a loom, a process that requires patience, precision, and a steady hand to ensure the consistency of the geometric pattern throughout the entire piece.

Because the rug is created by hand rather than by machine, every item carries the subtle, unique character of the weaver's work. The time invested in the weaving process ensures a level of attention to detail that results in a durable and well-finished home textile.

The scale of effort required to weave a rug of this size is significant, with artisans dedicating hours of focused work to complete each piece. This human-centric production method guarantees that you are receiving a thoughtfully made item that brings both beauty and authentic craft into your living space.

Maintenance

To prevent shading and uneven wear, frequently rotate your rug.
Use a conventional hoover instead of a robotic cleaner to prevent any damage to the rug.
If you discover a loose thread on your rug, use scissors to gently cut it off. Avoid pulling the thread to prevent damage.
Shake the rug outdoors to remove any excess dirt or debris.

Installation

Fold marks may occur during transport. This is not a manufacturing defect and is easy to remedy. Simply turn your rug over, roll it tightly, and leave it for a few hours. Finally, lay out your rug and wait a few days until your rug lays flat against the floor.
As you unpack your new rug, you may notice a slight smell, which is due to the rug being tightly packed during transport. This is normal and will go away after a few days.
Make sure your floor is completely dry before placing the rug.
Please be aware that trapped dirt, dust, or dampness under a rug may cause marks or scratches on sensitive floors.

Care instructions

Do this

Address spills promptly to minimize staining. Blot the affected area gently with a damp, undyed cloth—never rub, as this may embed the stain further into the fibers. Protect the floor beneath the rug by ensuring it's properly covered during the cleaning process.
We recommend that you use Rugvista Stain Remover for this type of rug.
For hard-to-remove stains, we recommend you contact a professional rug cleaner.

Avoid this

Do not wash
Do not bleach.
Do not tumble dry.
Do not iron.
