Bring a sense of calm and classic charm to your hallway with this hand-woven wool runner, featuring a clean checkered design that elevates any interior space.

The Cuadro runner offers a tactile and grounding experience, crafted from natural wool to provide a warm and inviting surface underfoot. Its construction ensures excellent sound absorption, making it an ideal choice for busy hallways or entryways where comfort and acoustics matter.

Designed for versatility, this runner is fully compatible with underfloor heating, allowing you to enjoy cosy warmth throughout the colder months. The natural properties of the wool ensure that the rug remains a durable and reliable addition to your home for years to come.

As a piece from our Core collection, the Cuadro runner reflects a commitment to simple, functional design that fits seamlessly into a variety of living spaces. Its clean lines and natural materials make it a considered choice for those who value both style and practicality.

Each runner is produced in India, where traditional weaving techniques are honoured to create a final product of consistent quality. We ensure that our production processes prioritise ethical standards, providing you with a home accessory that is as responsible as it is beautiful.

Design

The design features a classic checkered pattern that balances bold contrast with clean, modern lines. This geometric approach creates a sense of order and rhythm, making it a perfect anchor for narrow spaces like hallways.

Finished with delicate fringe at both ends, the runner adds a touch of softened texture to its structured look. The monochrome palette of black and white ensures it remains a versatile staple that complements any room style.

This runner is carefully hand-woven by skilled artisans, a process that requires both time and precision to achieve its uniform texture. The creation of such a piece involves rhythmic, manual work where every thread is placed with intent, ensuring a durable and well-crafted result.

The scale of effort involved in hand-weaving means that each runner represents hours of dedicated craftsmanship. By choosing a hand-woven item, you are supporting traditional skills that have been passed down through generations, resulting in a product with a unique character that machine-made alternatives simply cannot replicate.

The intricate checkered pattern is achieved through the careful alternation of wool yarns during the weaving process. This labour-intensive method ensures that the design is deeply integrated into the fabric, providing a long-lasting aesthetic that maintains its clarity over time.

Wool is a fantastic natural fibre with many benefits, it is durable and hard-wearing, which means that a rug made from wool can be used for several generations and maintain its quality. They are an excellent choice for keeping your rooms warm during the cold winter months and can reduce noise from everyday life. The material also has a natural dirt-repellent effect which makes wool rugs easy to keep clean. Wool has a natural elasticity, which means that when the pile is pressed down, it can easily bounce back to its original shape.

15% Cotton

Cotton is a natural material that makes them a suitable option for people with allergies. The material is soft, durable and resilient, which makes them practical and comfortable for high-traffic areas such as the hallway, kitchen, and bathroom.

Maintenance

To prevent shading and uneven wear, frequently rotate your rug.
Use a conventional hoover instead of a robotic cleaner to prevent any damage to the rug.
If you discover a loose thread on your rug, use scissors to gently cut it off. Avoid pulling the thread to prevent damage.
Avoid hoovering directly over the fringes, as the suction and brushes can catch the threads and cause damage.
Shake the rug outdoors to remove any excess dirt or debris.

Installation

Fold marks may occur during transport. This is not a manufacturing defect and is easy to remedy. Simply turn your rug over, roll it tightly, and leave it for a few hours. Finally, lay out your rug and wait a few days until your rug lays flat against the floor.
As you unpack your new rug, you may notice a slight smell, which is due to the rug being tightly packed during transport. This is normal and will go away after a few days.
Make sure your floor is completely dry before placing the rug.
We recommend using an anti-slip mat with this rug, as color migration may occur onto light-colored floors.
Please be aware that trapped dirt, dust, or dampness under a rug may cause marks or scratches on sensitive floors.

Care instructions

This rug can be dry cleaned.
Address spills promptly to minimize staining. Blot the affected area gently with a damp, undyed cloth—never rub, as this may embed the stain further into the fibers. Protect the floor beneath the rug by ensuring it's properly covered during the cleaning process.
We recommend that you use Rugvista Stain Remover for this type of rug.
For hard-to-remove stains, we recommend you contact a professional rug cleaner.
To clean the fringes, use a soft brush to get the debris out.
