Crafted with care in India, this rug celebrates traditional techniques and natural materials. The use of jute provides a durable foundation that stands up well to everyday life, making it a practical and stylish choice for high-traffic areas in your home.

This rug is a reliable and considered choice for those who value natural textures and simple, effective design. Its balanced construction ensures it sits neatly in your space, providing a grounded aesthetic that complements a wide variety of interior styles.

Design

The design of this rug focuses on a clean, geometric pattern that creates a sense of order and interest. The contrast between the natural beige tone of the jute and the vibrant blue accents offers a fresh visual appeal that is both modern and grounded.

This pattern is intentionally understated, allowing the natural texture of the material to take centre stage. It serves as an ideal anchor for your room, adding just enough detail to catch the eye without overwhelming your existing decor.

The Zack rug is carefully hand-woven by skilled artisans, a process that requires patience and steady hands to ensure a consistent finish. Each rug takes several days to complete, as the fibres are meticulously interlaced to create the final design.

By choosing a hand-woven piece, you are supporting a tradition of craft that values time and human effort over mass production. The subtle variations in the weave are a testament to the artisan's touch, ensuring that every rug has its own character and charm.

The process involves a deep understanding of the materials, with the jute being woven over a cotton foundation to create a sturdy, lasting product. This dedication to the craft results in a rug that is not only beautiful but built to endure in your home.

90% Jute

Jute is a natural material that consists of a long, soft and shiny plant fibre that can be spun into coarse and strong threads. Jute rugs are known for their natural texture, which makes them durable and highly resistant to wear and tear. They also have a higher sound insulation effect than for example synthetic rugs. Jute rugs are a sustainable option since they can be recycled and are biodegradable. The material is sensitive to moisture, therefore jute rugs should only be used indoors or outdoors under a roof.

10% Cotton

Cotton is a natural material that makes them a suitable option for people with allergies. The material is soft, durable and resilient, which makes them practical and comfortable for high-traffic areas such as the hallway, kitchen, and bathroom.

Maintenance

To prevent shading and uneven wear, frequently rotate your rug.
Use a conventional hoover instead of a robotic cleaner to prevent any damage to the rug.
If you discover a loose thread on your rug, use scissors to gently cut it off. Avoid pulling the thread to prevent damage.
Shake the rug outdoors to remove any excess dirt or debris.

Installation

Fold marks may occur during transport. This is not a manufacturing defect and is easy to remedy. Simply turn your rug over, roll it tightly, and leave it for a few hours. Finally, lay out your rug and wait a few days until your rug lays flat against the floor.
As you unpack your new rug, you may notice a slight smell, which is due to the rug being tightly packed during transport. This is normal and will go away after a few days.
Make sure your floor is completely dry before placing the rug.
The rug can bleach or change colour if exposed to direct sunlight; therefore, it is important to avoid placing the rugs in direct sunlight.
The rugs are sensitive to moisture, therefore they should only be used indoors or outdoors under a roof.
Please be aware that trapped dirt, dust, or dampness under a rug may cause marks or scratches on sensitive floors.

Care instructions

Do this

Address spills promptly to minimize staining. Blot the affected area gently with a damp, undyed cloth—never rub, as this may embed the stain further into the fibers. Protect the floor beneath the rug by ensuring it's properly covered during the cleaning process.
For hard-to-remove stains, we recommend you contact a professional rug cleaner.

Avoid this
